Prof. Dr. Mahmoud A. Tantawy

PhD, MSc, B.SC, is a Senior Petroleum Engineer with over 30 years of extensive experience in the oil & gas industry. His field of expertise lies mainly on Reservoir Simulation, Reservoir Engineering, Enhanced Oil Recovery, Well Test Analysis and Production Engineering. Presently, he heads the Petroleum Engineering Department of a prestigious engineering institute.

With his interest & devotion to science, he was driven to participate in the Water Shut-Off and Permeability Modification projects in Texas, USA and was made to supervise numerous scientific researches and theses all throughout the Middle East, and is now supervising 15 Master & PhD thesis in well test analysis, reservoir simulation, production technology and different petroleum engineering subjects.
